J' adore or Lily for a girl?

My husband wants to name our baby Lily after his grandmother but I want something a little less common. Which one do you like Lily or J%26#039;adore?





We have decided that both names will be in her name, we just cant agree on which one will be the first name.

Lily J%26#039;adore sounds better but i like J%26#039;adore better as a first name just not with that middle name.
Reply:I think J%26#039;adore will give her problems with spelling it. Maybe leave out the apostrophe? I also think a kid could have a hard time with the adore part, depending on the child and because it is not a common name. I like the name Lilu and I think you could certainly use J%26#039;adore as a middle name.

Reply:doesnt J%26#039;adore mean %26quot;i adore%26quot; in french?? i dont think thats even a name. i would do lily, its pretty. if you have to have both names, do lily for the first name......it would be weird for her name to be %26quot;i adore lily%26quot; lol, she will feel it is her right to be spoiled. %26quot;lily, i adore%26quot; sounds more poetic. and besides, she will like it better if people call her lily.

Reply:I know 3 people who had a baby this past year and named their daughter Lily.... and 2 who had babies before that also named their daughters the same thing! Lily, Lilly and Lilliana are all over used!!!!!

You could name her Lillian Nicole and call her Lily.





So many people just call their kid Lily. So if she doesn%26#039;t like the name Lily...she could go by Lillian.

J%26#039;adore...I can%26#039;t figure out how to pronounce it, so I would guess your child would spend most of her life telling people how to say her name and how to spell it.





Forget finding anything with her name on it as well...no cup, no key chain, no necklace....

Reply:I like Lily...but only b/c my daughter%26#039;s name is Lilyanne. I liked Lily and I did her middle name as June after my late grandma on my dad%26#039;s side. To make things even I added anne after Lily to be after my grandma on my mom%26#039;s side. If you use both names Lily coming first flows better in my opinion.
